Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Manager to join our team at Blackstone Valley Cannabis, a community focused small business dedicated to our customers, employees, and quality cannabis without compromise. As the Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies that resonate with our corporate values, enhance brand visibility, and drive measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the local community, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies to actively engage with the community through in-store promotions, events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Plan, execute and participate in trade shows, community events, in-store events, as well as events for wholesale partners.
  • Develop and execute traditional grassroots type marketing campaigns locally to drive measurable activity to the retail location.

Brand Development:

  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to refine the brand identity.
  • Develop and implement brand building initiatives to establish a strong and positive brand presence in the community.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with the brand guidelines and effectively communicate the business values.
  • Design and implement a go-to-market strategy for BVC’s wholesale product launch.
  • Thoroughly understand and ensure compliance of all marketing strategies with state regulations and restrictions within the cannabis industry.

Digital Marketing:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email, text, and online advertising to support retention, new customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative digital marketing approaches to enhance community engagement.

Content Creation:

  • Create compelling and relevant content for various channels, including social media, website, and newsletters.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of information and engagement with the community.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and stories that resonate with the local audience.
  • Create and maintain company digital assets for our website, online menus, and wholesale partners including branding and product images.

Public Relations:

  • Manage public relations efforts to enhance the business's reputation and visibility in the community.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews and comments, ensuring a positive online presence.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape within the local community.
  • Use insights from market research to inform marketing strategies and adapt campaigns to meet changing community needs.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost effective strategies that maximize return on investment.
  • Monitor expenses and provide regular reports to the leadership team on marketing performance.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Assist in creating relevant KPI’s for all marketing strategies.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Provide weekly reports on marketing activities, key performance indicators, ROI and make data driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 Years of proven experience as a Marketing Manager, preferably in a community focused or small business environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and community engagement strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to independently prioritize time, stay highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to attend events at night and during weekends.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
